    INTERPRETER/ TRAINER

    Position Title: Trainer/Interpreter **(English and Burmese)**

     

    Reports to: Human Resources/Training

     

    Wages starting at $20.10 up to $22.40 per hour with great benefits!

     

    **BONUS** pay of $1 for every hour worked for perfect attendance each pay period!

     

    - $1.00 Shift Differential for 2nd and 3rd Shift

     

    - Weekly pay (Every Friday)

     

    - 10 days of paid vacation after just 1 year

    Shift/Work Days: 2nd Shift - Monday - Friday with occasional Saturdays

    Responsibilities:

    • Facilitate effective communication between two parties that do not speak a similar language by converting one spoken or written language to another.

    • Attend meetings and act as official translator to mediate discussion.

    • Relay concepts and ideas between languages.

    • Convert written materials and conversations from one language into another, such as advertisements, rules, policies and investigation reports.

    • Employ computer-assisted translation.

    • Facilitate communication for people with limited English proficiency.

    • Translate information for applicants during interviews and with hiring paperwork.

    • Assist with the translation of medical information and Safety.

    • Maintain highest levels of confidentiality.

    + Responsible for listening to, understanding and translating spoken or written statements from one language to another.

    + Have a strong presence on the production floor.

    + Other duties as needed and assigned

    Qualifications:

    Computer knowledge required.

     

    Attention to detail required.

     

    Ability to speak, write, type and translate to and from English/Burmese

     

    Personal and professional integrity required.

     

    Comfortable working in cold temperatures and stand 8-10 hours/day

     

    Some weekends as necessary

     

    Trustworthy to handle confidential matters/information

    Ability to work in a team environment

    **POSITION SUMMARY** :

     

    The Trainer is responsible for assisting in all training/development occurrences such as Orientation and paperwork.

     

    **ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES** **include** the following. Other duties may be assigned

    1. Train on the job all new hires and active employees who are:

    + New hiresTransferring to another jobEmployees who are coming back from LOA Employees who need to be re-trained on their regular job.

    2. Complete all necessary paperwork.

    3. Records daily progress on the continuous improvement sheet on new hires and/or employees going through re-training.

    4. Have some knowledge of all jobs in the plant.

    5. Fill in the plant as needed.

    EXPECTATIONS

    + Team Members Observe & enforce all company personnel, quality, safety, and food safety policies.

    + Maintains a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner so that you work effectively and cooperatively with customers, clients, coworkers, and leadership teams.

    + Have a working knowledge of alchemy program to facilitate annual trainings.

    PHYSICAL DEMAND/WORK ENVIRONMENT** **:

    + Frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear.

    + Office and plant setting: the plant environment will include wet or humid conditions (non-weather related), extreme cold (non-weather related), and working near moving mechanical parts

    + Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but can be loud when in the production area.
