    How you create impact

     

    As the Data Center Manager for the AMER region you will manage a team of senior system engineers and provide leadership across the organization, from overseeing operational excellence to resource and project planning for all infrastructure related topics.

     

    + Oversee the 24×7 operations of the data center including infrastructure (servers, storage, network), physical facility (power, cooling, space, racks), site services and logistics

    + Provide direction and assistance to the Open Systems Engineering team including operations, on-call scheduling and escalations

    + Confer with end-users, clients, or senior management to define business requirements for complex systems and infrastructure support and growth

    + Document the company’s existing systems architecture and technology portfolio and make recommendations for improvements

    + Participate in AMER region INCO / IMOD rotation

    + Responsible for incident management and 24x7 on call support

    + Develop and execute test plans to check infrastructure and systems technical performance. Report on findings and make recommendations for improvement.

    + Ensure the infrastructure adheres to the requirements for availability, stability, security, compliance and efficiency

    + Review new and existing projects and procurement or outsourcing plans for compliance with standards and architectural plans

    + Understand, document, communicate, and enforce global policies for standardizing systems for security, compliance and support

    + Complete assigned projects within budgetary and scheduling guidelines

    + Drive operational excellence, continuous improvement and cost efficiencies

    + Monitor key metrics (uptime, PUE, utilization, mean time to repair, service level agreements) and support internal and external audits

    + Provide executive visibility: status reports, dashboards, risk and mitigation plans, site health, major incident post-mortems.

    What we would like you to bring

    + 10+ years' experience with data center, systems engineering and related technologies

    + 3+ years' managing and directing technical teams

    + Ability to follow and implement long-term strategic goals and short-term tactical plans for managing and maintaining corporate systems, security and compliance

    + Track record of ensuring that proposed and existing systems architectures are aligned with organizational goals and objectives

    + Previous financial responsibility and accountability for Data Center budget
