Job Title: School Nurse ?

Position Overview:

We are seeking a compassionate and qualified Certified School Nurse (CSN) to join our school health team. The CSN plays a vital role in identifying and treating health conditions among students, promoting general wellbeing, and preventing disease within the school setting. This position involves assessing students' physical conditions and referring them to appropriate resources to support their academic success.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide direct care to students with acute or chronic illnesses.

- Conduct health assessments and screenings.

- Promote health education and disease prevention.

- Collaborate with school staff and families to support student health plans.

- Maintain accurate health records and documentation.

Minimum Requirements:

- Active Registered Nursing license for California.

- Certification or Credential in School Nursing (Preliminary Credentials Accepted).

- - Active California Registered Nurse (RN) license.

- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).

- Certification or Credential in School Nursing (Preliminary Credential Accepted).

- One year of prior school nursing or pediatric experience (preferred).

- Current CPR certification (if applicable).

- TB Questionnaire, PPD test, or chest x-ray (if applicable).

- Current health certificate (as required by state or contract).

- Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements.

- Must be at least 18 years of age.
