In Controls & Avionics Solutions, you will have the opportunity to help define and develop the next generation of avionics whether it is fly-by-wire flight controls, full authority digital engine controls, or power management.
BAE is looking to hire an **Electronics Component Program Engineer** .
This position provides technical leadership in the resolution of complex commodity issues in a design/manufacturing environment. The main responsibility of the successful candidate will be to work closely with electronics component commodity engineers and program teams to resolve component issues in regards to obsolescence, technical changes, part shortages, failures, etc. In addition, the job includes reviewing and approving electronics component selection for development programs.
This position requires expertise in electronic components used in commercial and military applications for aerospace and transportation platforms. An ideal candidate demonstrates an extremely positive interest in:
>Meeting customer needs including component cost impacts on system costs and schedules/deadlines.
>Making informed part recommendations to Circuit Designers that meets application requirements.
>Working with suppliers to understand future offerings, their roadmaps.
>Working with BAE circuit and product engineers to understand BAE s system needs for future designs.
>Working closely with product designers and a Technology Review Board evaluating new part technologies for use in new designs.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
10 or more years of relative work experience with ECAD tools
Bachelor of Science in Electronics Engineering or Equivalent Experience
Technical understanding of electronic devices used in aircraft systems.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills (Customers, Peers, Management and Manufacturers).
Ability to identify preferred and new technologies to Design Engineering community.
Strong technical foundation in electronic component.
Strong knowledge performing data analysis in Microsoft Excel.
Capacity and motivation for hard work.
Ability to utilize computer skills to prepare appropriate reports and documents.
Ability to make decisions using sound judgment while complying with policies, procedures, appropriate principles and applicable state and federal laws and regulations.
Demonstrated teamwork and leadership abilities.
Ability to analyze, evaluate, develop and implement processes and systems within budget and adhere to time requirements and schedule.
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
Masters in Electronics Engineering.
Proficient with Microsoft Excel.
Experience with selecting electronic components in Mil/Aero and Power and Propulsion electronic systems.
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $105254 - $178931
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
