The role you'll contribute:
The Physician Quality Coordinator assesses trended data and identifies opportunities to improve patient outcomes. Collaborates with Nursing, Medical, and Ancillary Departments to develop and implement improvement initiatives. Actively participates in concurrent case review to assure that evidence based best practices are implemented timely for FHMMC patients. Tracks compliance of measures & provides staff education relating to the externally reported measurements & participates in committees associated with core measures & other quality initiatives, as directed. Assists with the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of the multi-disciplinary Physician Peer Review Program for FHMMC.

+ Reviews patient care using established criteria from the Performance Improvement Plan or Medical Staff committees, including Surgical/Procedural case review, Mortality review, Intensified case review, and Transfusion review.
+ Abstracts data from medical records, both concurrently and retrospectively.
+ Enters and submits data for Performance Improvement projects required by regulatory bodies, Corporate Performance Improvement, Clinical Best Practice initiatives, and Medical Staff reviews.
+ Uses data to identify opportunities to improve clinical outcomes, prevent negative care events, promote patient safety, and enhance hospital processes.
+ Collaborates with Medical Staff, Risk Management, Education, and hospital staff to meet evidence-based practice guidelines.
+ Works with departments to address clinical practice improvement opportunities.
The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed:
**Minimum qualifications** :
+ 5 Work Experience Required
+ years of clinical Nursing experience within a hospital
+ Experience in Critical Care or Emergency Care
+ Experience in Performance Improvement
+ Registered Nurse (RN) Required
**Preferred qualifications** :
+ Bachelor's of Nursing Preferred
+ (CPHQ) Preferred
