    Job Purpose

     

    The Lead Inside Sales Coordinator oversees the successful execution of multiple customer projects, ensuring the team's objectives are met efficiently and accurately with the project objectives. This role provides leadership and direction to the Inside Sales Coordinator team while collaborating closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure project milestones are achieved, deliveries meet customer expectations, and process improvements are continuously identified and implemented.

     

    Key Duties & Responsibilities

    The Role’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

    + Oversee and coordinate all inbound and outbound shipments for multiple projects, ensuring vendors and carriers meet on-time delivery and quality expectations.

    + Provide leadership and direction to the inside sales coordinator team in supporting field sales, service, and technical representatives, driving collaboration to achieve sales goals and strengthen customer relationships.

    + Supervise and validate data entry accuracy for purchase orders, customer orders, procurement matches, and trade discounts, ensuring consistency and compliance with company procedures.

    + Review and approve project documentation and order processes prior to execution, confirming accuracy, communicating deliverables, and aligning stakeholders on timelines.

    + Monitor and manage order acknowledgements, progress reports, and delivery status updates across manufacturers, vendors, and customers, proactively identifying and resolving potential delays.

    + Lead issue resolution efforts by serving as the primary escalation point for customer, vendor, and branch inquiries, ensuring timely responses and corrective actions for shipment discrepancies or material issues.

    + Maintain and report on open orders weekly, tracking project performance, delivery metrics, and workflow efficiency across the department.

    + Coach, mentor, and motivate team members to anticipate and solve problems, adapt to workload changes, and maintain high standards of accuracy and responsiveness.

    + Drive departmental workflow management by monitoring priorities, allocating resources effectively, and ensuring timely accomplishment of project objectives.

    + Collaborate cross-functionally with logistics, operations, procurement, and sales teams to streamline communication, resolve issues, and enhance project delivery outcomes.

    + Promote compliance and accountability by enforcing company policies and maintaining adherence to DOT, SOX, and safety regulations; foster a culture of integrity and continuous improvement.

    + Lead participation in meetings and training initiatives to enhance team knowledge, operational excellence, and professional development.

    + Contribute to special projects and process improvements that optimize inside sales operations, strengthen customer satisfaction, and support organizational goals.

    Required Education & Experience

    + High School Diploma, GED (General Education Degree) and additional post-secondary training or education.

    + Any combination of 3+ years in customer service, inside sales support and/or warehouse services in a position with increasing responsibility, to include demonstrated leadership/supervisory experience.

    + Project management experience.

    Skills & Abilities

    + Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

    + Ability to lead, mentor, and develop team members in a fast-paced environment.

    + Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

    + Strong background in customer relationship management and vendor coordination.

    + Working knowledge of logistics processes, inventory management, and procurement practices.

    + Demonstrated competence in the use of computers and software applications.

    + Demonstrated ability to communicate and promote ideas and transfer detailed knowledge to others.

    + Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.

    + Familiarity with regulatory compliance (DOT, SOX) is a plus.

    Working Conditions

    + Able to interact with others frequently.

    + Most work is performed at a desk or in front of a computer.

    + Able to sit/stand for long periods of time.
