Position Overview
We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer Lead-Paint to join the International team at the Tulsa Bus Plant. In this role, the selected candidate will spend extensive time on the manufacturing floor and evaluate production process and fixtures as well as look for improvement in error proofing and efficiency improvements to make our Paint department more robust.
This role will support our production line to meet daily production goals by providing floor support for the production line to maintain first time quality, cost, and throughput, as well as implement continuous improvement projects requested by the production team. In addition, the role will also be responsible for the development and implementation of projects to improve safety, ergonomics, cost, quality, and throughput.
The Manufacturing Engineer Lead-Paint will spend extensive time on the manufacturing floor with our represented employees.
Responsibilities
+ Guide less experienced engineers through successful project implementation
+ Interfaces with design engineering in coordinating the release of new products
+ Accurately Forecast and Track Budgets, stay on budget, and clearly communicate status
+ Execute Major Projects on Time and within budget to measurably improve safety, ergonomics, cost, quality, delivery, and employee experience
+ Review new products and protect the plant from designs that cannot be manufactured efficiently
+ Support production by implementing projects and assignments that measurably improve safety, cost, quality, delivery, and employee experience
+ Create and forecast plan needed to complete projects and work with leadership to properly prioritize, track progress and clearly communicate status
+ Develop and document plant processes, pFMEA’s and Control Plans to improve quality and document reaction plans
Minimum Requirements
+ Bachelor's degree and at least 4 years of product manufacturing experience
OR
+ Master's degree and at least 2 years of product manufacturing experience
OR
+ At least 6 years of product manufacturing experience
Additional Requirements
+ Qualified candidates, excluding current employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. Desired Skills
+ Engineering degree, Industrial Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering, is preferred
+ Experience with 2D- Auto CAD and 3D CAD software - Teamcenter NX is a plus
+ Experience & Comfort presenting complex topics and project updates to leadership
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Software Suite
+ Experience with collecting paint data by using data packs, film build and Pelt gauges, as well as wave-scan tools to communicate results
+ Experience with improving safety, ergonomics, cost and quality in a manufacturing setting
+ Experience with communicating with people at all levels of the organization
+ Experience in automotive or similar industry with an emphasis on paint systems
+ Experience with robot programming (Fanuc), mixing equipment (Graco), mixing ratios, solvents, and paint ovens used in a manufacturing setting
