CDL Driver Part-Time – Charter Services
We are currently on the lookout for skilled and dependable Part-Time Bus Operators to join our elite Charter Services team in Knoxville, TN. As a key member of Transdev’s operation, you will provide safe, reliable, and customer-focused transportation for university and community charter events — including athletic programs, group travel, and special functions — while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and safety.

+ Training Pay: $19.63 per hour
+ Regular Pay: $21.22 per hour (after 90 days)
+ Minimum Requirement: 20 hours per payroll cycle (two-week period)

Key Responsibilities
+ Safe Operations: Operate charter vehicles safely and professionally in accordance with federal, state, and company regulations.
+ Passenger Care: Provide exceptional service for groups, athletic teams, and event participants, ensuring courtesy and comfort throughout each trip.
+ Vehicle Inspections: Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections; report mechanical or safety issues immediately.
+ Communication: Maintain clear radio and TransLoc communication with Dispatch and Supervision regarding status, location, and service updates.
+ Recordkeeping: Complete trip sheets, passenger counts, and time logs accurately and submit as required.
+ Event Support: Assist with staging, loading, and coordination during large university events and charters.
+ Compliance: Follow all company and client policies, including uniform standards and customer-service protocols.
+ Other duties as required.
Qualifications
+ 21 years or older
+ Valid CDL Class B with Passenger (P) endorsement required
+ Minimum 1 year of professional driving experience (transit, school bus, or charter preferred)
+ Strong communication and customer-service skills
+ Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
+ Must maintain a clean driving record and pass all background and DOT requirements
+ Subject to DOT drug test and physical if applicable.
+ DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including cannabis, for any reason.
Physical Requirements
+ Extended periods of sitting while driving
+ Occasional standing, walking, bending, and climbing steps
+ Must be able to lift 25 lbs occasionally
+ Work performed outdoors in various weather conditions
