General Manager
The General Manager is responsible for leading all aspects of hotel operations to ensure exceptional guest experiences, financial profitability, team development, and brand compliance. This position oversees day-to-day operations, including front office, housekeeping, maintenance, and food & beverage (if applicable), while driving performance metrics aligned with Fairfield Inn brand standards and Blue Sky Hospitality Solutions' operational goals.
What You’ll Do:
Operational Leadership
Direct and manage all hotel operations to ensure efficient service delivery and adherence to Marriott brand standards.
Monitor daily performance across departments to ensure service excellence and operational consistency.
Conduct regular property inspections to ensure cleanliness, maintenance, and brand compliance.
Maintain a safe and secure environment for guests and associates.
Financial Performance
Develop and execute annual business and marketing plans to achieve budgeted revenue and GOP targets.
Manage P&L performance, labor costs, and expense controls in alignment with company benchmarks.
Review financial reports regularly to identify opportunities for cost savings and revenue growth.
Ensure accurate forecasting, inventory management, and timely financial reporting.
Guest Experience
Ensure guest satisfaction scores meet or exceed Fairfield Inn standards.
Respond to guest feedback promptly, implementing service recovery and improvement measures.
Foster a culture of hospitality, accountability, and teamwork among all associates.
Team Development & HR Management
Recruit, train, and retain top talent aligned with company culture and brand expectations.
Provide ongoing coaching and performance feedback to department heads and team members.
Enforce compliance with all company policies, employment laws, and safety regulations.
Maintain a positive and inclusive work environment that promotes associate engagement.
Sales & Community Relations
Collaborate with the Sales & Revenue Management teams to optimize occupancy, ADR, and RevPAR.
Build strong relationships with local business partners, tourism organizations, and community leaders.
Represent the property and brand professionally in all local and regional engagements.
About You:
Minimum of 5 years of hotel management experience, including 2 years as General Manager in a limited or select-service property.
Prior Marriott brand experience preferred; Fairfield Inn experience strongly desired.
Proven ability to manage financial performance, labor costs, and service quality metrics.
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, Business, or related field preferred.
Ability to work flexible hours including weekends, holidays, and evenings as business demands.
Must be able to stand for long periods, walk the property, and occasionally lift up to 25 lbs.
