Overview
History of the Company: Superior Ambulance Service started in 1959 with one ambulance and today is the largest independent, locally owned, and operated emergency medical services provider in the Midwest. Superior employs more than 3,500 licensed EMTs, Paramedics and Nurses, operating a fleet of more than 800 ambulances throughout Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Michigan, and Wisconsin. Superior also provides Critical Care, helicopter, and fixed wing emergency medical transportation.
The Cash Application Representative is responsible for gathering and depositing checks / cash to the proper bank accounts. Other clerical duties to be performed would be sorting and distributing mail in a multi-company environment-including general administrative functions, as assigned.
Responsibilities
+ Checks - Large volume funds depositing for multiple companies:
+ + Check scanning
+ Cash deposits
+ Collection reporting
+ Balancing collection activity
+ Mail collection, sorting and distribution:
+ Daily visits to the post office to pick up/drop off documents
+ Mail sorting
+ Mail distribution
+ Must be able to sort large volumes of documents accurately.
+ Maintain and organize our titles for our company fleet. Coordinate with Risk and Fleet teams when assets become impaired.
+ Balance all payments that were posted on a daily basis.
+ File and maintain paperwork pursuant to Cash Application.
+ Fulfill any other related duties, as assigned by managerial or supervisory staff.
+ Address deposit issues and discrepancies.
+ Accounts Payable Support
+ Invoice Filing
+ Purchase Order Matching
+ Check Run - assembly assistance
+ Data Entry
+ General administration:
+ Filing
+ Excel spreadsheets
+ All other tasks required by management
Qualifications
+ Basic skills in Word and Excel applications is recommended.
+ Must have a good understanding of basic mathematical operations, as well as the ability to perform basic mathematical computations.
+ Needs to be detail oriented.
+ Must have good problem-solving abilities.
+ Document processes and develop job aids.
+ Possess good organizational skills.
+ Ability to work independently and contribute to a wide range of objectives while meeting tight deadlines.
+ Can handle a very fast paced environment.
+ Required: High School diploma or equivalency
Physical Demands: While performing the duties of the job, the employee is consistently required to sit for extended periods; use hands, fingers, handle, feel; and talk, hear & see. The employee is frequently required to sit, stand and walk. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required by this job include the ability to adjust focus. The employee is occasionally required to work under high pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Work Environment: While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly in verbal contact with others and constantly works face-to-face with and around others. The employee must be able to adapt to changing environmental conditions.

Salary Range
USD $22.00 - USD $26.00 /Hr. rates offered based on years of experience
