    Resolves complex technical issues for Truist's Network applications.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time.

     

    1. Performs problem tracking, diagnosis and root-cause analysis, replication, troubleshooting, and resolution for complex issues. In this capacity, performs programming and debugging activities.

    2. Responds to issues in a timely manner by receiving and investigating incidents or service tickets.

    3. Analyzes and observes trends with technical issues and develops recommendations for long- term improvements.

    4. Communicates status of issue resolution to internal customers.

    Detailed responsibilities:

    DDI Infrastructure (Infoblox):

    + Design, configure, and maintain Infoblox DDI infrastructure including DNS, DHCP, and IPAM services

    + Implement and manage IP address allocation strategies and subnet planning

    + Monitor and optimize DDI service performance through dashboards and alerting systems

    + Perform capacity planning and scalability assessments for DDI infrastructure

    + Maintain DNS zone configurations, records management, and delegations

    + Plan and execute migrations from Microsoft DNS/DHCP to Infoblox platforms

    + Configure and maintain DTC (DNS Traffic Control) for load balancing and failover

    F5 Infrastructure (F5 BIG-IP):

    + Design, configure, and maintain F5 BIG-IP platforms including LTM, GTM/DNS, ASM, and APM modules

    + Implement and manage load balancing policies, pools, virtual servers, and health monitors

    + Configure and optimize SSL/TLS offloading and certificate management

    + Maintain F5 DNS (GTM) for global load balancing and disaster recovery

    + Work with application teams to onboard and optimize application delivery

    + Implement traffic management policies and iRules for complex requirements

    + Perform system upgrades, patches, and configuration backups

    Automation & Integration:

    + Develop automation solutions using REST API, Python, Ansible, and Terraform

    + Enable self-service capabilities for development teams through automation frameworks

    + Integrate DDI and F5 services with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps workflows

    + Create and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for configurations

    + Implement declarative automation using F5 AS3 and DO

    Support & Troubleshooting:

    + Provide escalated technical support for complex DNS, DHCP, IPAM, and load balancing issues

    + Perform root-cause analysis and implement corrective actions for service incidents

    + Respond to incidents and service tickets in accordance with established SLAs

    + Document troubleshooting procedures and resolution steps

    + Analyze trends in technical issues and develop recommendations for improvements

    + Monitor system health and performance using dashboards and alerting

    Standards & Best Practices:

    + Implement and maintain security best practices for DDI and F5 infrastructure

    + Manage SSL certificates and PKI integration

    + Configure and maintain WAF policies and security controls

    + Ensure compliance with IT standards and regulatory requirements

    + Participate in disaster recovery and business continuity planning

    + Maintain accurate documentation of configurations, processes, and procedures

    + Contribute to knowledge base articles and technical documentation

    Network Infrastructure Support:

    + Support Cisco ACI fabric operations and troubleshooting when applicable

    + Assist with routing and switching configurations and optimization

    + Collaborate on network design and implementation projects

    + Provide expertise on network integration with DDI and F5 platforms

    Collaboration:

    + Work closely with network, security, application, and infrastructure teams

    + Provide consulting services to teams for DDI and F5-related requirements

    + Participate in project planning and implementation activities

    + Communicate status updates to stakeholders and management

    QUALIFICATIONS

    Required Qualifications:

    1. Bachelor's degree and five years of experience in development or application support or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.

    2. In- depth knowledge in information systems and ability to identify, apply, and implement best practices.

    3. Understanding of key business processes and competitive strategies related to the IT function.

    4. Ability to plan and manage projects.

    5. Ability to solve complex problems by applying best practices.

    6. Ability to provide direction and mentor less experienced teammates.

    7. Ability to interpret and convey complex, difficult, or sensitive information.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    + Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field

    + 5+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, preferably within financial services

    + Experience with DHCP and DNS migration from Microsoft to Infoblox platforms

    + Infoblox certifications (NIOS Administrator, Professional, or Expert)

    + F5 certifications (F5-CA, F5-CTS, or F5-CSE)

    + Experience with InfoBlox Grid architecture and advanced features

    + Experience with multiple F5 modules (GTM/DNS, ASM, APM, AFM, or AAM)

    + Knowledge of F5 automation tools (AS3, DO, TS)

    + Experience with Terraform for infrastructure automation

    + Experience with PKI and Certificate Services management

    + Knowledge of network security principles and OWASP Top 10

    + Experience with ServiceNow or similar ITSM platforms

    + Understanding of ITIL practices and DevOps methodologies

    + Familiarity with container platforms and microservices architecture

    + Experience with Cisco ACI (Application Centric Infrastructure)

    + Knowledge of routing and switching protocols and technologies

    + Experience in regulated industries (banking, finance, healthcare)

    + Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and their load balancing/DNS services
