WSP is currently initiating a search for a **Bridge Inspection Assistant Team Leader** for our New York, NY or Valhalla, NY office.

Your Impact
+ Review previous inspection reports and assist in planning of field operations
+ Perform inspection work and compile reports under the direction of the Team Leader.
+ Receive directions from Project Manager and other senior staff
+ Work collaboratively with other engineers, professionals, and infrastructure authorities on Federal, State, regional, local and privately funded improvement and development projects.
+ Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.
+ Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.
Who You Are
Required Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering, or closely related discipline.
+ 3 to 5 years of relevant post education experience in design, construction, inspection, or other bridge engineering related work.
+ Engineer in Training Certification.
+ Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
+ Physically capable of performing continuous field work including working at heights and in close quarters, climbing, carrying ladders and gear, working in adverse weather conditions, etc.
+ Valid, unrestricted driver license. Must successfully complete and pass WSP’s Motor Vehicle screening.
+ Effective self-leadership with attention to detail, results orientation, and managing multiple priorities in a dynamic work environment.
+ Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.
+ Ability to work schedules conducive to project-specific requirements that may extend beyond the typical workweek.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Master’s Degree in Engineering.
+ Essential Professional Licensure/Certification.
+ 40-Hour OSHA Health & Safety Training (HAZWOPER) (29 CFR 1910.120) preferred

Compensation:
Expected Salary: $75,600 - $129,800
WSP USA is providing the compensation range that the company in good faith believes it might pay and offer for this position, based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities and specific geographic location. WSP USA reserves the right to ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and may offer additional benefits and compensation, depending on circumstances and the type of work being performed not related to an applicant’s sex or other status protected by local, state, and/or federal law.
