Our client, a leading organization in the financial services industry, is seeking a Sr Software Engineer - Oracle SQL/PLSQL to join their team. As a Sr Software Engineer - Oracle SQL/PLSQL, you will be part of the Database Engineering Department supporting enterprise cloud-enabled distributed systems. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication, and a proactive approach, which will align successfully in the organization.
**Job Title:** Sr Software Engineer - Oracle SQL/PLSQL
Pay Range: $70/hr.
Contract: Long term
What's the Job?
+ Lead the design and implementation of high-performance, scalable database solutions using Oracle SQL and PLSQL.
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate complex business requirements into effective technical solutions.
+ Optimize database performance through tuning, data modeling, and API development.
+ Support and maintain production systems, ensuring high availability and reliability.
+ Mentor junior engineers and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
What's Needed?
+ 8+ years of hands-on experience with Oracle SQL and PLSQL, including performance tuning and data modeling.
+ Strong experience with ETL tools such as Informatica and batch job schedulers like Autosys.
+ Proven ability to design resilient, cloud-enabled distributed systems, preferably with AWS, Snowflake, and S3.
+ Experience with automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and familiarity with Java, messaging systems, and web containers.
+ Knowledge of distributed replication technologies like Oracle GoldenGate and exposure to other databases such as Postgres, Snowflake, or MS SQL Server is a plus.
