Our client, a leading aerospace and defense manufacturing organization, is seeking a Materials Manager to join their team. As a Materials Manager, you will be part of the Supply Chain Department supporting high-mix, low-volume manufacturing environments. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strategic thinking, strong leadership, and excellent collaboration skills, which will align successfully in the organization.

**Location:** Fayetteville, Arkansas

What's the Job?

+ Lead and oversee materials management operations in a high-mix, low-volume manufacturing setting, ensuring optimal inventory levels and material availability.

+ Develop and implement strategies for inventory optimization, lead-time reduction, and continuous improvement initiatives.

+ Interpret and manage complex electromechanical BOMs and manufacturing documentation to support production needs.

+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including procurement, production, and quality, to meet operational goals.

+ Ensure compliance with industry standards such as AS9100, ITAR, EAR, and DFARS, maintaining adherence to government contracting and defense industry regulations.

What's Needed?

+ Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field.

+ 7+ years of experience in materials management, supply chain, or procurement within aerospace, defense, or electromechanical manufacturing environments.

+ Strong knowledge of industry compliance standards including AS9100, ITAR, EAR, and DFARS.

+ Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or Epicor.

+ Demonstrated success in inventory optimization, lead-time reduction, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives like Lean or Six Sigma.
