Description
Amazon seeks an experienced Senior Finance Manager to play a key role on the Alexa 1P and Smart Home Finance team leading product, pricing and econometric valuations. This role will be responsible for driving broad insights that can shape the Alexa financial strategy, to inform short and long term investment decisions. The successful candidate will lead a team to build scalable analyses, key performance indicators and insights. These insights will be shared with the Alexa Business and Finance Leadership team to inform strategic decision making. This position will work closely with multiple stakeholders across the organization to align on critical inputs, ranges of outcomes, and confidence intervals. Key job responsibilities
- Own Alexa business inputs and outputs, inclusive of month end close, in-year planning cycles and long-range plan.
- Partner across stakeholder teams to align on valuation methodologies for actuals and forecasting purposes.
- Develop proforma P&Ls by customer segment to ensure leaders can tie investment priorities to financial outcomes and understand the business attribution to the GAAP and econometric P&L in the short and long range horizon.
- Work with big data and transforming it into insights and information
- Develop success metrics and dynamic scenario models to be used by business partners to help drive data driven decision making
- Lead automation efforts of critical processes
- Lead a team to deliver high quality insights to inform decisions making across a spectrum of values streams
Basic Qualifications
- 12+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
- Bachelor's degree
- 10+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience
- 8+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience
- 8+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience
- 7+ years of directly managing and leading a team of 10+ members experience
Preferred Qualifications
- 8+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience
- 8+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience
- 8+ years of mentoring junior finance and/or business team members experience
- 5+ years of working with senior staff (e.g. c-suite) experience
- MBA, or CPA

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $137,700/year in our lowest geographic market up to $227,700/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
