    The Visual Merchandising (VM) function is responsible for developing and implementing inspiring, premium and elevated consumer experiences and product presentations for the Nike brand. The VM team works collaboratively across brand and business partners to develop product journeys, presentation strategies, seasonal direction and playbooks that set the standard and create a distinct point of view for the brand at retail. Additionally, the VM Team works directly with business, operations and design functions to develop, drive and scale new concepts / retail expansion for the Nike brand across the marketplace.

    We want a visual merchandising MVP—someone who lives and breathes retail, thrives on teamwork, and loves the thrill of competition. You should be able to demonstrate proven VM expertise, think strategically, and be a strong collaborator that can work seamlessly across functions. This requires you to be an effective communicator and creative thought-partner who possesses the ability to influence decision-making. And you love working in a fast-paced, ever-evolving, positive, and collaborative team environment.

    WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

    As our Sport Lead, you’ll be the coach behind Nike’s in-store brand narrative, bringing energy and excitement to every product presentation. As a Lead, VM APLA Sport, you will develop and deliver presentation strategies, standards and tools that are used by our APLA geo team to implement the program and partner with APLA locations across the region. You will work cross-functionally with consumer, merchandising, marketing & marketplace teams to align strategies and priorities and ensure teams have the information and tools they need to enable flawless execution. Projects and deliverables you will work on and lead include, but are not limited to:

     

    + APLA VM presentation direction & tools for Sport

    + Pre-season zoning, mapping and development of presentation strategies

    + Deliver inputs / tools against the functional code process that shape the retail end in mind vision

    + Support on physical builds that help drive cross-functional alignment

    + Deep partnership with Retail Brand team in the development of seasonal plans

    + Collaboration with Merchandising on seasonal assortments and key looks

    WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH

    You’ll be part of the action, working with diverse teams across our worldwide headquarters (WHQ) campus and APLA field organizations. Reporting to the Director of Visual Merchandising & Styling, you’ll build winning partnerships with Global & Geo teammates and Retail Marketing pros. Your success depends on open communication, teamwork, and staying ahead of marketplace trends.

    WHAT YOU BRING

    + A true passion for the art and science of visual merchandising, styling, and storytelling

    + Experience influencing decisions and driving change at scale

    + Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Visual Merchandising, Design, or a related field; will accept any suitable combination of education, experience, and training

    + 5+ years of experience in retail marketing, visual merchandising, product merchandising, or related fields

    + Proven ability to create engaging, inspiring in-store displays—bonus points for experience in footwear & apparel

    + Skill in developing unique presentation solutions that excite consumers, drive sales, and amplify the Nike brand voice

    + Up-to-date knowledge of retail trends and innovations

    + Exceptional communication, influencing, and negotiating skills—bring your best to every conversation

    + Confident presentation and computer skills (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Keynote; Mac proficiency preferred)

    + Willingness to travel 2–4 times per year
