The Aquatics Supervisor offers a quality level of service that exceeds the customers’ expectations by establishing and maintaining a positive, productive relationship within the organization and with the guests. The Aquatics Assistant Manager achieves operational objectives by managing staff and maintaining a safe, secure and healthy environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES (include the following, other duties may be assigned)
+ Assists the water park operations team with the daily operation of the water park.
+ Clearly directs and assigns responsibility and authority for the operation of the department of the lead guards, lifeguards, and water park attendants.
+ Responsible for employee scheduling on WhentoWork Scheduling Software.
+ Maintains Ellis and Associates Instructor License Status.
+ Assists with Ellis and Associates Training Classes.
+ Chairs the water park fun committee aimed towards increasing employee morale and lowering turn-over.
+ Assists with in-service training on an on-going basis.
+ Works to maintain an efficient, cooperative atmosphere among staff members.
+ Maintains a general knowledge of entire resort operation.
+ Is on the floor of the water park providing MBWA-Management By Walking Around.
+ Attends weekly staff meetings, and other meetings as assigned.
+ Participates in the water park manager on duty schedule.
+ Responsible for the 150 item Ellis and Associates administrative audit checklist.
+ Responsible for creation of department service guidelines.
+ Other duties as assigned, which could be directly related, or un-related to original position.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Manages 4-8 subordinate supervisors who supervise a total of 15-30 employees in the Water Park. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees;
planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Certification in First Aid, CPR and NPWLTP (Must pass Ellis & Associates Lifeguard Training)
OTHER SKILLS & ABILITIES
+ Demonstrates ability to provide expert care, sensitive consideration and efficient service to guests.
+ Must have excellent communication skills.
+ Must have full availability including evenings, weekends and holidays.
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS
+ Must be 16 years of age.
+ Prior supervisory, budgeting and scheduling experience preferred.
