Job Title: Principal Electrical EngineerJob Description

We are seeking a skilled Embedded Systems Hardware Engineer with strong digital design capabilities and foundational analog experience. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in embedded system development, schematic and PCB design, and system-level troubleshooting. This role focuses on hardware and low-level embedded development.

Responsibilities

+ Develop embedded systems with a focus on digital design and foundational analog experience.

+ Design and troubleshoot schematics and PCBs for various applications.

+ Conduct system-level troubleshooting to ensure functionality and performance.

+ Utilize schematic design tools to create and refine digital and analog circuits.

+ Operate tools such as logic analyzers and oscilloscopes for testing and debugging.

+ Work with STM32 microcontrollers for embedded system applications.

+ Use Altium Designer for PCB design and modifications.

+ Troubleshoot systems down to the component level.

+ Lead design reviews to ensure quality and compliance.

+ Produce concepts and prototypes for new product development.

+ Build upon existing designs, depending on experience level, including FPGA and embedded C development.

Essential Skills

+ Proficiency in electrical engineering and electrical design.

+ Strong skills in schematic and PCB design.

+ Experience with digital circuits and digital design.

+ Familiarity with STM32 embedded systems and microcontrollers.

+ Ability to troubleshoot systems at a component level.

+ Experience running design reviews.

+ Capability to produce concept to prototype.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience in medical device design is a plus but not required.

+ Familiarity with digital and analog mixed signal design.

Work Environment

Work is conducted on-site, Monday through Friday, in Santa Clara. The facility offers flexible start times based on business needs, ranging from 7am to 9am, with an 8-hour shift. The workplace is a state-of-the-art facility focused on innovative electronic product development.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Santa Clara, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $75.00 - $89.00/hr.
