    Seeking a Bioprocess Technician in the Fort Dodge Area!!

     

    

    Job Description

    Perform duties associated with aseptic processes, weighing, measuring, counting, calculations, sampling, and verifications required for biological production processes in accordance with batch production records (BPR) and in compliance with current good manufacturing practice (cGMP) standards, all current safety standards, and site procedures.

    Responsibilities

    + Conduct aseptic processes and handle biological production tasks.

    + Weigh, measure, count, and perform calculations as required by BPR.

    + Sample and verify processes to ensure compliance with cGMP standards.

    + Understand and operate production equipment and ensure the availability of necessary equipment, instruments, and materials.

    + Perform transactions within the electronic inventory management system.

    + Oversee production processes, cleaning, and environmental monitoring.

    + Conduct in-process batch quality checks according to written procedures.

    + Adhere to safety rules and wear appropriate safety equipment.

    + Utilize basic computer skills to create, update standard operating procedures, and write deviation reports.

    + Complete all assigned training including safety, GMP, equipment operation, and other necessary procedures.

    + Generate and implement new ideas for workplace and process improvements.

    Essential Skills

    + Basic knowledge in fermentation, centrifuge, concentration units, and biological organisms.

    + Understanding of production equipment operation.

    + Ability to read and interpret batch records, quality, and safety documentation.

    + Proficiency in aseptic techniques.

    + Experience with SOP and sterile processing.

     

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

     

    + High School Diploma required. AAS or BA in Biotechnology or related scientific field preferred.

    + Previous experience in a manufacturing or production setting preferred.

    + Basic computer skills.

    Work Environment

    Work primarily occurs on the production floor, overseeing batches and ensuring their quality. Tasks involve working with fermentation systems, vessels, centrifuges, and other large-scale production systems. The role requires instrumentation and mechanical work, a big-picture mindset, quick thinking, and multitasking ability.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fort Dodge, IA.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $29.00 - $30.75/hr.
