We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Construction Manager to join our team. As a leader in the construction industry, you will oversee and ensure the successful completion of various construction projects while delivering high-quality results and exceptional client service. This role is ideal for an individual with strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and a passion for delivering projects on time and within budget.
Responsibilities
+ Provide on-site day-to-day construction administration.
+ Manage and coordinate Project Engineers, inspectors, and interns.
+ Facilitate coordination and communication between the construction administrator, contractor, campus, inspectors, and design professional.
+ Review all contract documents and ensure adherence to procedures; recommend revisions or new procedures as necessary.
+ Monitor the overall budget and schedule, advising on trends affecting timely procedures and cost-effective project completion.
+ Attend weekly and special construction meetings to evaluate and control progress, quality, budget, and other actionable items.
+ Review vendor services for compliance with agreements, approve invoices, and submit recommendations for final approval.
+ Evaluate and recommend resolutions for proposed contract changes and claims.
+ Participate in or conduct negotiations to resolve claims or disputes as directed.
+ Maintain a change order log and reconcile costs with contractor payment requests.
+ Monitor potential change orders and track project contingency.
+ Manage and report on the overall project budget health.
+ Coordinate inspection, final acceptance, and scheduling of occupancy.
+ Administer project closeout.
Essential Skills
+ 10+ years of construction management experience.
+ Experience in institutional or higher education projects preferred.
+ Ability to supervise project teams with knowledge of construction practices, techniques, and materials.
+ Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
+ Proficiency in Procore.
+ Ability to work independently with minimal oversight.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience with Federal, State, and Local public agency projects.
+ Experience with the Department of Defense, Department of Veterans Affairs, or U.S. General Services Administration projects.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $140000.00 - $160000.00/yr.
