    As a Process Engineer, you will be responsible for line improvements and documentation, including PFMEA, control plans, and work instructions. Your role involves communicating with production teams and maintenance to ensure efficient line operations. You will train team members in Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), problem-solving, and continuous improvement techniques such as 5S, TPM, and SMED. Additionally, you will conduct regular audits to maintain these procedures and train supervisors and team members on equipment issues and processes. You will manage a line containing 8-10 team members. The work hours are Monday to Friday, 6:30 AM to 2:30 PM, with a flexible start time, but daily meetings are at 8:30 AM. The facility operates 24/7, so there is potential for on-call duties to help resolve issues, which may require phone or in-person attention.

    Responsibilities

    + Implement line improvements and maintain documentation including PFMEA, control plans, and work instructions.

    + Communicate with production teams and maintenance to ensure efficient line operation.

    + Train team members in SOPs, problem-solving, and continuous improvement techniques.

    + Conduct regular audits for procedure maintenance.

    + Train supervisors and team members on equipment issues and processes.

    + Manage a team of 8-10 members on the production line.

    Essential Skills

    + Experience in process improvement and process engineering.

    + Strong skills in continuous improvement and root cause analysis.

    + Proficiency in controls engineering and project engineering.

    + Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Bachelor's degree in Engineering preferred (Ceramics, Mechanical, Industrial, Material Science).

    + Problem-solving skills.

    + Experience in glass manufacturing.

    + High initiative with the ability to dive into problems with little direction.

    + Preferred: 2+ years in a manufacturing engineering role.

    + Automotive manufacturing experience.

    + Background in automation (ABB/Fanuc robots).

    + Six Sigma certification.

    Work Environment

    The work environment is non-climate controlled, requiring long-sleeve protection and steel-toed shoes while on the floor. The facility operates continuously, providing a dynamic environment with opportunities for growth.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Versailles, KY.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $38.00/hr.
