    CNC Machinist 2

    A well-established manufacturer in East Syracuse, NY, with over 50 years of experience in rapid prototyping and low-volume production of machined castings, is seeking a **CNC Machinist 2** .

    Compensation:

    + **$24.00–$29.00/hour** based on experience

    Position Summary:

    Operate CNC milling machines to produce high-quality machined parts. Responsibilities include machine setup, operation, quality control, maintenance, and documentation.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Set up and operate multi-axis CNC milling machines using blueprints or process sheets

    + Obtain first piece approval from Quality Inspection

    + Perform in-process inspections using hand tools (micrometers, calipers, etc.)

    + Monitor and replace tooling as needed

    + Troubleshoot machining issues

    + Maintain accurate production and quality records **Qualifications:**

    + High school, technical school, or BOCES graduate

    + Minimum 2 years of CNC machine setup and operation experience (vertical & horizontal centers)

    + Proficient in reading blueprints and using precision measurement tools

    + Strong attention to detail **Physical Requirements:**

    + Ability to stand for extended periods, walk, reach, stoop, kneel

    + Lift up to 35 lbs as needed

    + Interpret blueprints and GD&T specifications

    + Program and input CNC instructions (tool offsets, compensation, etc.)

    + Ensure adherence to safety and quality standards

    + Perform preventative maintenance

    + Communicate with other shifts to ensure workflow continuity

    + Train junior machinists as needed

    + Perform additional duties such as deburring and secondary operations during cycles

    **Pay Details:** $24.00 to $29.00 per hour
