Adecco Healthcare and Life Sciences is currently hiring for a Central Sterile Technician role for their client in Newark, NJ location .

Job Type - Temp

Shift Hours – 10am to 6pm (M-F)

Pay – 23-25/HR

Roles and Responsibilities –

+ Operates and monitors steam Autoclaves ,sonic washers and other sterilizing equipment. Keeps records of load completed ,items in load and maintenance procedures performed .

+ Decontaminates and sterilizes instruments ,equipment, assembles wraps and sterilizers cassettes ,trays and instruments . Follows proper standard precautions while in decontamination and sterilization areas.

+ Monitors biological and chemical wash solution to ensure quality and consistency for decontamination of instruments and equipment .

+ Maintains necessary supply levels in sterile storage areas .

+ Verifies that equipment functions properly ,requisitions for equipment maintenance ,repair or replacement and removes defective equipment .

+ Assists with maintaining established departmental policies and procedures ,objectives and quality improvement , safety and environmental and infection control standards .

+ Examines equipment to detect leak, worn or loose parts or other indications of disrepair .

+ Maintain storage rooms , participates in quality assurance activities as assigned .

Required Qualification / Experience-

+ One year experience in healthcare, medical or dental setting or a closely related setting using sterile procedures.

+ New Jersey central service certification is required .

+ Knowledge of decontamination , sterilization , assembly packing and monitoring of instrumentation .

**Pay Details:** $23.00 to $25.00 per hour
