    Buyer/Planner – Manufacturing

    **Location:** Spartanburg, SC

    **Pay Range:** $20/hr to $22/hr(depending on experience)

    **Shift:** Monday–Friday, 6am to 2:30pm

    **Type:** Full-Time, Contract Only

     

    About the Role

     

    We’re seeking a detail-oriented **Buyer/Planner** to join a leading manufacturer of precision flow and process measurement instruments. In this role, you’ll keep production running smoothly by managing purchasing, scheduling, and inventory for a high-mix, low-volume manufacturing environment.

     

    You’ll coordinate with suppliers, production, and engineering to make sure materials arrive on time, in spec, and at the best possible cost. If you love solving problems, organizing data, and keeping operations efficient, this could be a great fit!

    What You’ll Do

    + Plan and schedule production orders based on demand forecasts and inventory levels.

    + Issue and manage purchase orders for raw materials, components, and services.

    + Work closely with suppliers to track deliveries, resolve issues, and improve lead times.

    + Update ERP/MRP data (lead times, reorder points, safety stock, etc.) to ensure accuracy.

    + Partner with production and engineering to address material shortages or quality issues.

    + Maintain lean inventory levels while ensuring production continuity.

    + Support cost-saving and continuous improvement initiatives.

    What We’re Looking For

    + 2–5 years of experience in **purchasing, planning, or materials management** (manufacturing preferred).

    + **Associate or Bachelor’s degree** in Business, Supply Chain, or related field preferred

    + Proficiency in **ERP/MRP systems** (Epicor, SAP, or similar) and **Excel** (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).

    + Strong attention to detail, communication, and organizational skills.

    + Ability to read BOMs and understand manufacturing workflows.

    Preferred

    + APICS/CPIM certification or similar

    + Experience in precision manufacturing, machining, or instrumentation

    + Understanding of Lean principles and ISO 9001 systems

    **Pay Details:** $20.00 to $22.00 per hour
