    Quality Control Associate I

     

    Training Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM

    About the Opportunity

    Join one of the fastest-growing Cell & Gene Therapy companies on the East Coast! We are seeking a Quality Control Associate I to support critical testing and analysis that ensures the safety and efficacy of cellular products. This role offers hands-on experience in a dynamic, quality-driven environment.

    Key Responsibilities

    + Perform testing and develop methods for flow cytometry and analysis.

    + Conduct cell culture and cell counting for quality control.

    + Assist with complexity testing and workflow improvements.

    + Train and provide oversight to new team members.

    + Execute company and client test methods for cellular products.

    + Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory equipment.

    + Document and report results in compliance with SOPs, CGMP, and GDP.

    + Organize lab supplies and perform equipment cleaning.

    + Participate in equipment and method qualification/validation.

    + Cross-train on methods for multiple clients to enhance efficiency.

    + Upload data in real time to shared drives or client systems.

    + Prepare reagents and media as needed.

    + Respond to equipment alarms and investigate non-conforming results.

    + Initiate deviation reports and implement corrective actions.

    + Communicate effectively with team members, management, and clients.

    Essential Qualifications

    + Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related scientific field.

    + Experience:1–2 years performing flow cytometry assays and endotoxin testing.

    + 1–2 years of cell culture experience.

    + Familiarity with CGMP/GTP environments and quality control methodologies.

    + Skills:Proficiency in aseptic techniques and document control.

    + Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office, Visio).

    Preferred Qualifications

    + Experience in tissue culture, bioburden, PCR, and quantitative analysis.

    + Background in clinical labs (microbiology, hematology, blood banking, immunology).

    + Prior industrial experience with cell count methodologies and cell therapy.

    Work Environment

    + Aseptic, quality-driven setting with collaboration across analytical teams and scientists.

    + Flexibility required to accommodate cell and gene therapy process timelines.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Allendale, NJ.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $32.00/hr.
