Job Title: Medical Assistant

Job Type: Contract-to-Hire

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM

About the Role

We’re looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our patient-focused healthcare team. In this role, you’ll be the first point of contact for patients, ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience from arrival to exam. You’ll work closely with physicians and nurses to support high-quality care while managing essential clinical and administrative tasks.

What You’ll Do

+ Greet patients and visitors with professionalism and warmth.

+ Monitor patient arrivals and assist with efficient patient flow.

+ Escort patients to exam rooms and prepare them for procedures.

+ Record vital signs, allergies, medical histories, and chief complaints.

+ Collect specimens and take measurements (height, weight, etc.).

+ Prepare and maintain accurate medical records in Epic EMR.

+ Ensure lab reports and documentation are ready for appointments.

+ Maintain clean, organized exam rooms and stock supplies.

+ Provide interpretation services and clerical support as needed.

+ Uphold HIPAA standards to protect patient confidentiality.

What We’re Looking For

+ 2+ years of healthcare experience (Medical Assistant or similar role).

+ Familiarity with Epic EMR and appointment scheduling.

+ Strong communication skills and attention to detail.

+ Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment serving 50–100 patients daily.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Suffern, NY.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $21.00/hr.
