    Job Title: Project EngineerJob Description

     

    We are seeking a dedicated Quality Control Manager to oversee and enforce quality control measures on a large-scale construction project. This role involves overseeing construction projects with a focus on quality control, conducting meetings to establish standards, and ensuring all materials and processes meet project specifications. The project involves a multi-year, $500 million overhaul of a facility, requiring meticulous attention to quality and process management.

    Responsibilities

    + Oversee construction projects from start to finish with a focus on quality control.

    + Conduct preparatory, initial, and follow-up meetings to establish standards of care for each feature of work.

    + Verify and document all materials received for the project meet approved submittal specifications and are appropriately handled and stored.

    + Conduct required meetings with clients, superintendents, foremen, and subcontractors before each new phase of work.

    + Independently review plans, specifications, and other contract documents to identify potential quality risk factors.

    + Review shop drawings and submittals for conformance with project specifications.

    + Perform required tests to verify that control measures are adequate to ensure conformity with contract requirements.

    + Oversee subcontractors to ensure compliance with quality standards and safety regulations.

    + Collaborate with the project superintendent and maintain daily project 'as-built' drawings.

    + Develop, update, and maintain the project submittal log and all other quality control reporting.

    + Provide written daily QC reports to confirm that work activities conform to project standards.

    + Schedule, document, and maintain a log of all inspections required by the project contract.

    + Verify completion of necessary inspections, approvals, and certifications by appropriate agencies.

    + Assemble and forward project closeout documents.

    + Use discretion to stop work if necessary to resolve safety, quality, or progress issues.

    + Advise on changes to methods and materials for project use.

    Essential Skills

    + Experience in construction, quality control, and construction management.

    + Proficiency in writing submittals, RFI's, and utilizing CM software.

    + Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or a related field.

    + At least 1 year of experience as a field or project engineer.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience with construction drawings and submittals.

    + Familiarity with current CM software, such as Bluebeam.

    Work Environment

    This role involves working on a large-scale construction site with a focus on maintaining quality standards. Expect to collaborate closely with various stakeholders, including clients and subcontractors, in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. The position requires the use of construction management software and adherence to safety and quality regulations.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lenexa, KS.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $31.25 - $44.00/hr.
