We are seeking a dedicated Lab Technician to perform various laboratory tests and work using both conventional and computerized machines. The role involves determining chemical and physical characteristics or compositions, setting up and operating laboratory equipment, and maintaining accurate records.
Responsibilities
+ Perform laboratory tests according to prescribed standards.
+ Determine chemical and physical characteristics or compositions.
+ Set up, readjust, and operate laboratory equipment and instruments.
+ Enter data to maintain records, update information, and track results.
+ Respond to basic customer questions regarding formulas and the mixture process.
+ Clean, maintain, and calibrate standard equipment.
+ Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
+ Perform other duties as assigned.
Essential Skills
+ Laboratory and chemistry skills.
+ Experience in research and development.
+ Proficiency in testing, formulation, and mixing.
+ Ability to measure, experiment, and conduct quality control.
+ Experience with resins, liquids, coatings, paint, and color matching.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ High School Diploma or GED required.
+ Associates or Bachelor's degree preferred.
+ One year of chemical lab experience preferred.
+ Basic math skills required.
+ Experience with color differentiation.
+ Proven good organization and documentation skills.
+ Proven ability to take direction.
Work Environment
This position is based in an industrial lab environment, not a clean room or biological lab. The role offers flexible 1st shift hours from Monday to Friday, typically working an 8-hour shift from 8 am to 4 pm. The dress code is business casual, and a lab coat will be worn. The organization is known for promoting from within, providing great hands-on experience with customer products and independent project management.

This is a Contract position based out of Minneapolis, MN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.
