We are seeking a dedicated Sr. HSE Engineer to lead and manage health, safety, and environmental initiatives within our manufacturing environment. This role requires a strategic thinker who can embed safety into plant design and construction activities while collaborating with various departments to enhance workplace safety and compliance.
Responsibilities
+ Oversee and manage Prevention through Design concepts in advance of plant renovation and construction activities.
+ Collaborate with Real Estate, Facilities, and Architectural firms to embed safety into plant design.
+ Collaborate with Process Engineering to analyze risk in new plant layout and within redesigned workflow processes.
+ Supervise and manage consultancy work that supports workflow design and ergonomics solutions.
+ Manage workstation risk assessment programs and prioritize resulting action items.
+ Introduce digital solutions to enhance workplace safety, including technologies for electrical, vehicle, and ergonomics safety.
+ Deploy Management of Change Program for new equipment purchases and facility renovations.
+ Deploy Contractor Management Program for external partners.
+ Collaborate with Operations and Facilities departments on new initiatives in alignment with planned Transformation activities.
+ Review contracts and align deliverables against allocated budget.
+ Work with Procurement, Operations, and Engineering departments to identify effective solutions for new tools and equipment.
+ Represent the HSE Department during Transformation Meetings.
+ Prepare weekly status reports for senior management.
+ Manage action planning and status reports for local management reviews.
+ Verify control measures from Risk Analyses.
Essential Skills
+ 10+ years of experience managing safety in a Manufacturing Industry.
+ Experience working with electro-mechanical, machining, or electronics assembly.
+ Proficiency in communication, presentation, and training development and delivery.
+ Experience integrating into functional teams and engaging stakeholders from across all disciplines in the HSE Program.
+ Comprehensive knowledge of OSHA Regulations and ANSI Standards.
+ Demonstrated ability to inspect and evaluate workplace environments, equipment, and practices for compliance with corporate and legislative requirements, standards, and regulations.
+ Highly developed interpersonal skills to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
+ Ability to complete written reports and electronic communications expeditiously with a high degree of accuracy and professionalism.
+ Computer proficiency with strong knowledge of PCs and software applications related to the work, such as MS Office, MS Teams, Word, Excel, Access, SharePoint, etc.
+ A valid Driver’s License.
+ Experience in applications of Project Management, including prioritizing tasks, budget management, team leadership, and scheduling work activities.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Proven ability to oversee and coordinate work of contractors and consultants.
+ Experience with reviewing and interpreting engineered drawings and blueprints.
+ Knowledge in Electrical Safety requirements and applicable Standards.
+ Experienced in identifying and mitigating ergonomic risk factors.
+ Experience in deploying concepts of Prevention Through Design.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $110000.00 - $120000.00/yr.
