    •Position Summary

     

    Responsible for providinginstruction and trainingin the Career Education Center.You will:

     

    + Developindividual achievement plansand academic goals for students

    + Collaborate with Career Technical Training instructors tointegrate applied academicsinto CTT curricula

    + Ensure strict confidentiality and integrity of student data

    •Main Duties

    + Foster asafe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment

    + Design and deliverengaging lessonstailored to students’ needs, learning styles, and abilities

    + Provide academic training leading toGED/HSD completionand improved literacy/numeracy skills

    + Assess student progress and provideconstructive feedback

    + Collaborate with counselors, residential advisors, and multidisciplinary teams to support holistic student success

    + Act as amentor and positive role model—demonstrating empathy, patience, and understanding

    + Maintain awell-organized classroomand hold students accountable for dress code and behavioral standards

    + Partner with staff from all departments to ensureeffective supervision and services

    + Participate in professional development, workshops, and training sessions

    + Help the Center meet or exceedDOL/Company performance goals

    + Communicate effectively, contributing ideas and providing timely, high-quality information to DOL/Company

    Qualifications

    •Qualifications & Experience

    + Bachelor’s degreefrom an accredited school required;Master’s degree preferred

    + Must possessMSDE Secondary Education Educators Certification

    + Previous teaching experience orJob Corps experience preferred
