Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Plant Controller to join a dynamic manufacturing team in Coldwater, Michigan. This role requires someone with a strong background in cost accounting and financial analysis, who thrives in a hands-on environment and enjoys collaborating with production teams. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing financial operations and ensuring accuracy in reporting and budgeting.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee product costing and perform thorough cost analyses to support financial decision-making.

• Manage physical inventory processes, including accounting and reconciling raw materials, finished goods, and work-in-progress.

• Conduct audits and evaluate internal controls to ensure compliance and assist with audits across other locations as needed.

• Analyze and report variances, investigating anomalies in purchase price, efficiency, usage, and utilization.

• Participate in budgeting and forecasting activities to support both local and divisional financial planning.

• Maintain accuracy in the general ledger by preparing monthly account reconciliations and resolving discrepancies promptly. Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required.

• Minimum of five years of experience in a manufacturing environment with a focus on standard cost accounting.

• Proven expertise in general accounting, including forecasting, budgeting, inventory management, and account reconciliations.

• Proficiency in using spreadsheet and database tools to analyze and organize data.

• Strong understanding of manufacturing cost accounting principles and practices.

• Ability to manage month-end close processes and ensure timely reporting.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to address financial variances and discrepancies.
