Job Summary:
This position is an integral part of NYCAMH Administration, reporting to the Director. To provide internaland external leadership to the management of Bassett and NYCAMH and to participate as a member ofBassett Healthcare Network's Managers Team in such a manner that the organization is able to fulfill itsmission on a day-to-day basis and over the longer term. The New York Center for Agricultural Medicineand Health (NYCAMH) Center Manager is responsible for supervision of bi-weekly NYCAMH staff.The NYCAMH Center Manager is responsible for the oversight of the Supervisors and additionaladministrative staff not assigned to a particular supervisor. They will also be responsible for staffmentorship, professional development, disciplinary action, and serving as a liaison to other BassettDepartments. Contributes to the support of patient care and service clients through interdisciplinaryteamwork. The NYCAMH Center Manager will create an annual operating plan, in partnership with theNYCAMH Business Manager. This individual will be responsible for supporting the integration of coresand for organizational process improvement. This individual works with the Director, Deputy Director,Administrative Director, Business Manager and Supervisors in developing short and long-term agendasfor NYCAMH. The Manager is responsible for participation on committees and work teams sharedbetween other state and national centers, as appropriate. Additional duties may also include utilizinghis/her skills to contribute to providing health services as needed and driving Bassett vehicles(van/autos).
Essential Job Functions:
• Supervision and staff mentorship (administrative staff, supervisors and research support staff)• Annual performance reports• Routine check-ins with direct reports• Disciplinary action and performance improvement plans (in coordination with leadership & supervisors)• Time & Attendance tracking, oversees use of travel and compensatory time• UKG maintenance• Salesforce administration• Bassett Liaison for external departments, especially• Human Resources• Purchasing• Staff hiring (in coordination with leadership & supervisors)• Assures appropriate orientation for new staff members• Year in Review Content Coordination (in partnership with Marketing Manager)• Annual and Quarterly DOH reports (narrative and overall construction)• Organizational process improvement• Identifying new avenues of business• fee for service• service grants• Supporting cores’ functions, growth (as necessary) and integration• Develops pertinent policies, procedures, plans and activities related to the operation of NYCAMH as demonstrated in team leader meeting notes.• Identifies professional development needs for staff based upon Center goals and objectives as demonstrated by quarterly review of staff development needs with the director.• Addresses identified needs for staff professional development by stimulating and supporting continuing education efforts among staff members as demonstrated by annual accounting of such efforts by staff members.• Coordination of staff cross-training• Development of monthly staff meeting agendas• Annual staff retreat organization/planning and professional development• NEC Center management• Scientific Advisory Panel meeting preparation (with support from EA)• Evaluation involvement• Leading Incubator coordination• Key link with extramural contractors, communicating regularly, soliciting regular reports, tracking progress of extramural and intramural projects. Documented by periodic reporting to Director• Participates on the NIOSH Ag Centers Evaluation, Communication, and Outreach (ECO) Committee. Measured by meeting participation and communication of ECO endeavors to center• Produces (with assistance and input from Director and Business Manager) annual NIOSH report narrative. (Budgets will be managed by Business Manager)• Assists in preparation of competitive grant applications for center• Assists with specific research, outreach, or health services as needed• As a member of the Administrative Team, works with other members and Principal Investigators in developing short and long-term agendas for the Center• Plans, attends and takes meeting minutes for administrative team meetings each week and actively contributes to meetings• Makes recommendations to the Director for allocation of resources and changes in allocations as needed. Documented by Leadership Meeting minutes• Assigns tasks as needed to facilitate efficient achievement of goals and commitments• Manages staffing conformance with program needs as demonstrated through administrative meeting minutes• Works closely with Business Manager to create and follow annual operating plan• Assist Director and Deputy Director with outreach to state officials as appropriate• Representing the organization at agribusiness and other professional events, as necessary• Participating in relevant Bassett Executive Management Team meetings and interpreting and upholding organizational policies• Oversight of Job descriptions, performance standards, compliance with policy and annual reviews• Develops performance standards for day-to-day operations, sensitive to customer needs and hospital and research regulations• Attends various project and Core meetings as available to monitor work processes and progress• Assures Bassett Policies transmitted through interdepartmental committees are promptly disseminated & reviewed by staff. Checks for compliance as demonstrated through NYCAMH compliance records and annual evaluation records• Development of Bassett Network/System Thinking – A leader who thinks globally and adopts philosophy of continuous improvement for Bassett processes/systems and the Bassett Healthcare Network• Drive Bassett vehicles as needed

What we need from you
Education:
Required Master's Degree Master’s degree in health, public health, organizational development, or nonprofitmanagement-related field.
Experience may be considered in lieu of education if experience is extensive.
Years of Experience:
Required:
+ 2 years of previous experience in a coordinator /manager role, ideally, some of this time within theBassett Healthcare Network.
+ 4 years of previous experience in a coordinator /manager role in absence of 4-year master'sdegree.
Preferred:
+ Experience with teaching, presenting of informationto adult audiences is desirable.
+ Some experience with behavior modificationapproaches is desirable.
+ Experience in research activities is needed.Experience in nursing, health screening andoutreach activities is desirable.
+ Some experience in dealing with federal agenciesand grant reporting activities is desired.
+ Experience in public speaking.
+ Supervision of programs and staff.
+ Experience with creating strategic and operatingplans
+ Background in agriculture, forestry, commercialfishing, public health or occupational health isdesired.
License/Certification:
Required:
+ (License) Must possess a valid NYS class D driver's licenseand maintain eligibility of insurability to operate theorganization's vehicles.
+ (Certification) Completion of Protecting Human Subjects:Principles and Practice Cours
Preferred:
+ (Certification) AED, First Aid Certification desired.

Pay Range
Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards. The above compensation range represents a good faith belief of the compensation range by Bassett Healthcare Network, and its entities and affiliates, at the time of this posting or advertisement.
Pay Range Minimum:
USD $95,058.82/Yr.
Pay Range Maximum:
USD $142,588.23/Yr.
