Job Description
+ The HVAC Technician will be responsible for commissioning, troubleshooting, repairing, and starting up HVAC systems in a commercial environment. This role requires coordination with team leaders, project managers, and customers to ensure the accurate execution of on-site installations and repairs.
Responsibilities
+ Coordinate with team leader/project manager and customer to understand requirements for on-site installation and repairs.
+ Represent the company as the direct customer contact, responsible for products and equipment on assigned projects.
+ Use cutting-edge software and technology, along with hand-tools, to diagnose and repair units according to blueprints or engineering specifications.
+ Enforce safety to the highest standards and maintain security and accountability of company assets.
+ Perform new facility set-ups and existing facility retrofits.
Essential Skills
+ Strong understanding of HVAC systems, including air conditioning theory, mechanical layouts, and pipe fitting (ideally 5 years of experience).
+ Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose issues using tools, software, and engineering specifications.
+ Experience in commissioning and repairing commercial HVAC systems.
+ Proficiency with hand tools, diagnostic equipment, and cutting-edge software.
+ Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering documentation.

+ Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to provide excellent customer service on-site.
+ Willingness to be on feet for extended periods and maneuver in small areas.
+ Safety compliant.
+ EPA certification

Work Environment
+ The position is based in a large building on Ruffin and involves traveling throughout the county to service clients, including universities, casinos, and hospitality locations. The role requires mobility and comfort working in diverse settings.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Diego, CA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $40.00/hr.
