Job Title: Maintenance Engineer
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated General Maintenance Technician to join our facilities team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing hands-on maintenance, repairs, and operational duties to ensure that our hospital's buildings, equipment, and systems are safe and efficient.
Responsibilities
+ Conduct routine inspections, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance on mechanical, plumbing, and electrical systems.
+ Respond to general repair requests, including lighting, doors, fixtures, furniture, walls, and ceilings.
+ Support minor plumbing tasks such as pipe repairs, drainage issues, and leak fixes.
+ Assist with HVAC systems, including filter replacements and equipment checks.
+ Maintain safe conditions across hospital grounds, including snow removal and outdoor tasks.
+ Participate in renovation and construction support, including conduit installation and basic framing and finishing tasks.
+ Maintain tools, supplies, and workspaces according to hospital standards and regulatory guidelines.
+ Provide fast, courteous “house call” maintenance service across hospital departments.
+ Support emergency maintenance needs and assist in disaster preparedness readiness.
+ Participate in an on-call rotation and assist other skilled trade teams when needed.
Essential Skills
+ Experience in HVAC, maintenance technician, and service roles.
+ Proficiency in electrical troubleshooting and mechanical repair.
+ Field service experience with customer service focus.
+ Preventive maintenance expertise.
+ Knowledge of boiler, EPA regulations, sheet metal, air conditioning, and refrigeration.
+ EPA universal certification.
+ Experience in duct work and service management.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ HVAC certification.
+ Plumbing skills.
+ Electrical qualifications.
+ Experience with boilers and chillers.

Work Environment

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lancaster, PA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00/hr.
