    Job Title: Structural Fitter

    Responsibilities

    + Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine layout and assembly requirements.

    + Accurately measure, cut, and fit structural steel components using welding, bolting, and other fastening techniques.

    + Use a tape measure with precision down to 1/16th of an inch to ensure accurate layout and fabrication.

    + Operate fabrication tools and machinery including saws, torches, grinders, and drill presses.

    + Ensure all components meet dimensional and quality standards before final assembly.

    + Collaborate with welders, machine operators, and quality control to maintain production accuracy and efficiency.

    + Utilize tablets and computers to read digital drawings and work instructions.

    + Maintain a safe and organized work environment in compliance with OSHA and company safety standards.

    + Conduct inspections and quality checks on completed assemblies.

    + Assist with material handling, including loading and unloading steel components.

    Essential Skills

    + Blueprint reading

    + Precision fitting

    + Familiarity with structure fabrication

    + Experience with flux core welding

    + Knowledge of stainless steel and structural steel

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wilmington, DE.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $28.00/hr.
