Job Title: Material Handler

Job Description

This role involves various responsibilities such as cycle counting, data entry, forklift driving, and operating saws. A strong emphasis is placed on safety. Proficiency in computer systems and maintaining efficiency are key aspects of the job.

Responsibilities

+ Operate forklifts safely and efficiently.

+ Conduct cycle counts accurately.

+ Perform data entry tasks as required.

+ Operate saws and other machinery.

+ Maintain a high standard of safety at all times.

+ Utilize computer systems for inventory control and other tasks.

Essential Skills

+ Experience in forklift operation.

+ Background in warehouse environments.

+ Proficient in material handling.

+ Strong computer knowledge and math skills, including ruler utilization.

+ Experience with cycle counting.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ High School Diploma or GED required.

+ At least 1 year of warehouse and production experience in a metals or manufacturing-related facility.

+ Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.

+ Experience with inventory control, shipping, and receiving.

+ Ability to operate pallet jacks and perform order picking.

Work Environment

The position is based in a warehouse and production facility with high expectations for production efficiency. The environment includes 150-160 full-time employees. Dress code consists of jeans, t-shirts, steel-toed shoes, and PPE provided by the company. Available shifts are 1st: 6am-2pm, 2nd: 2pm-10pm, and 3rd: 10pm-6am.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wichita, KS.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.20 - $20.20/hr.
