Job Title: Assembly Technician
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Assembly Technician to support our complex production and warehouse operations. This role involves a variety of tasks, including picking, packing, assembly, and inventory control, ensuring the seamless execution of daily activities.
Responsibilities
+ Train and mentor team members on standard operating procedures, safety protocols, and equipment use.
+ Perform quality checks and troubleshoot issues to ensure product accuracy and compliance with specifications.
+ Operate and maintain warehouse systems (e.g., SAP, WMS) for inventory tracking, order fulfillment, and reporting.
+ Coordinate with supervisors and cross-functional teams to meet production goals and resolve material or workflow issues.
+ Support implementation of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives.
+ Ensure adherence to FIFO (First-In, First-Out) inventory practices and assist with cycle counts and audits.
+ Promote and uphold a safe work environment through regular safety checks and participation in training.
Essential Skills
+ Experience in assembly, hand tools, production, mechanical assembly, and power tools.
+ Ability to read and interpret blueprints and repair documentation.
+ High school diploma or GED required; technical training or certifications preferred.
+ 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing, logistics, or warehouse environment.
+ Proficiency with warehouse management systems (e.g., SAP, Sphere WMS, LXE).
+ Strong understanding of inventory control, shipping/receiving, and production workflows.
+ Ability to lead by example, communicate effectively, and work collaboratively in a team setting.
+ Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for extended periods.
+ Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Technical training or certifications are a plus.

This is a Contract position based out of La Vergne, TN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.50/hr.
