Job Description

Join our Automated KIT Production department, where you'll be building kits for clinical trials research, sample collection, and other human sample collection processes. You'll have the opportunity to work at four different stations, where you'll receive training and spend time mastering each task.

Responsibilities

+ Work in the 'Kit Cell' or Popular Pick, where you will stand for 12-hour shifts in your own individual space with a computer screen and about 200 small bins. Follow computer instructions, pick items from illuminated bins, and pack them into boxes.

+ Carefully label completed boxes and place them onto a rolling conveyor that transports them to packing.

+ Verify the correct kits in the order tote, transfer them from tote to box, label the box, and send it down the appropriate line (UPS, FedEx, etc.).

+ On the mezzanine, sit near the labeling line to pack instruction manuals or work in a cubicle-like chair to build small batch custom orders by hand.

+ Be prepared for a repetitive job that requires good attention to detail.

+ Cross-train on 5-6 jobs across the automation department over time.

Work Environment

This role operates in a production facility with a rotating shift schedule of 6 pm to 6 am (2/2/3), including two paid breaks of 20 minutes and one paid lunch of 30 minutes. Expect a clean, organized environment with a constant hum, similar to a giant vacuum. The facility is temperature-controlled, requiring long pants and closed-toed shoes. While phones are not allowed for personal use, you can listen to music or podcasts with one headphone. Expect to stand for up to 12 hours some days, with a mix of standing and sitting over time.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Indianapolis, IN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.50 - $18.50/hr.
