    **Job Title:** Boring Mill Machinist

    **Location:** Cleveland, OH

    **Shift:** ALL SHIFTS AVALIABLE

    Job Description

    Join a dynamic team in a heavy-duty industrial environment where precision and expertise are paramount. As a Boring Mill Machinist, you will be instrumental in crafting high-quality components for various industries, utilizing your skills in CNC programming and machining.

    Responsibilities

    + Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work orders related to boring operations.

    + Set up boring mill machines by installing the correct tools, fixtures, and workpieces.

    + Operate boring mills to drill holes, face surfaces, or perform contouring and finishing operations.

    + Run existing CNC programs and create or modify programs at the machine as needed to meet part requirements.

    + Adjust machine parameters, including speeds, feeds, and offsets, to optimize performance and achieve desired tolerances.

    + Monitor machining processes to ensure accuracy and quality, making necessary adjustments.

    + Use precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and bore gauges to inspect parts.

    + Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of machinery and tools to maintain optimal performance.

    + Follow all safety guidelines and maintain a clean, safe work environment.

    + Document production data and report any machine issues or defects to supervisors.

    + Collaborate with quality control and engineering teams to ensure production standards are met.

    Essential Skills

    + 5+ years of experience operating and setting up CNC Horizontal Boring Mills.

    + Experience in a large part machine shop.

    + Ability to perform full setups independently.

    + Proficiency in editing G&M codes and adjusting speeds and feeds.

    + Experience with large overhead cranes.

    + Ability to change tools, adjust offsets, and execute CNC programming.

    + Proficiency with Fanuc and Siemens programming and controls.

    + Strong understanding of geometric tolerancing and dimensioning.

    + Ability to use precision measuring instruments and shop mathematics, including trigonometry.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + CNC programming experience is a plus.

    + Understanding of metal properties and appropriate cutting tools.

    + Dependable, self-starter, and willing to help others.

    + Ability to work effectively and efficiently with minimal supervision in a large manufacturing environment.

    Work Environment

     

    The work environment is a heavy-duty industrial setting with older equipment in a large manufacturing facility that is not temperature-controlled. Shifts start at 6 AM for the first shift and 6 PM for the third shift, each ranging from 8 to 10 hours based on workload. The position offers a $2.00 shift differential for the third shift.

    This is a Permanent position based out of Cleveland, Ohio.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $49150.40 - $83200.00/yr.

     

    Full benefits including medical, Rx, dental, vision, FSA, HSA, 401K with match, short- and long-term disability, and life insurance.

     

    Workplace Type

     

    This is a fully onsite position in Cleveland,Ohio.
