2nd and 3rd shift opportunities
Pay: $18-$22/hr based on experience
Job Description
We are seeking dedicated machine operators for 2nd and 3rd shifts to support our company's expansion. This role involves operating state-of-the-art machinery to process steel wire into various customer specifications, including coatings and sealants. Comprehensive training will be provided on the 1st shift for 4-6 weeks.
Responsibilities
+ Operate digital-controlled machinery and auxiliary equipment to ensure the production of high-quality wire products.
+ Load raw materials and manage the feeding process through machinery, ensuring the removal of finished products.
+ Perform machinery changeovers and execute quality welds using the appropriate butt welder.
+ Conduct preventative maintenance on all production and support equipment as assigned.
+ Maintain accurate production and quality records, understanding product quality, delivery, and scrap measurements.
+ Operate safely by understanding and adhering to all safety procedures and wearing all assigned personal protective equipment (PPE).
+ Maintain a clean and organized work area for the next operator.
+ Participate in training, employee meetings, committees, and project teams as appropriate.
+ Must pass OSHA-approved Forklift Training and maintain a valid license, as forklift operation is essential.
+ Work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and adapt to changing priorities.
Essential Skills
+ Demonstrated mechanical aptitude.
+ Minimum of two years of experience in an industrial facility with machine or production experience.
+ Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
+ Proficient in using tape measures, micrometers, and calipers with the metric measurement system.
+ Capable of performing basic math calculations and using a calculator for more complex tasks.
+ Troubleshooting skills using standard problem-solving methods.
+ Physical capability to push, pull, roll items, and lift up to 70 pounds regularly.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Technical school education is a plus.
+ Experience in machine setup and welding is beneficial.
+ Familiarity with safety protocols, including lockout-tagout procedures.
+ Safety certification and forklift operation experience are advantageous.

Work Environment
Our work environment consists of approximately 12-15 employees on the 1st shift and 3-4 employees on the 2nd shift, including maintenance staff. We maintain a clean and organized manufacturing facility with a strong emphasis on safety, requiring safety-toed shoes and ear protection.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of York, PA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr.
