Job Title: Welding Supervisor
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Welding Supervisor with a strong background in TIG and MIG welding to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of aluminum and steel welding, blueprint reading, and AWS certifications. This role involves supervising a team of welders, prototype mechanics, and utility workers, ensuring high-quality production in a clean and modern manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
+ Supervise a team of 30-35 welders, prototype mechanics, and utility workers.
+ Hire and train new employees, fostering a culture of development and excellence.
+ Engage in welding tasks when not involved in training activities.
+ Ensure adherence to ISO9001 and AS9100 standards.
+ Utilize supervisory skills to oversee production processes and ensure quality.
+ Coordinate with design engineers using the latest techniques and software.
+ Maintain a safe and compliant working environment by enforcing the use of personal protective equipment and safety protocols.
Essential Skills
+ Proficiency in TIG and MIG welding on aluminum and steel.
+ Strong blueprint reading abilities.
+ AWS Certification.
+ 3+ years of manufacturing supervisory experience.
+ Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field, or 7-10 years of overall manufacturing experience.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Lean/Six Sigma experience.
+ Experience working with ERP or MRP systems.
+ Familiarity with ISO9001 and AS9100 standards.
+ An educator with a passion for developing new welders.
Job Type & Location
This is a Permanent position based out of Media, PA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $90000.00/yr.
