    Job Summary:

    We are seeking a skilled Structural Welder to join our repair shop team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing high-quality welding and fabrication work on a variety of structural components, often in a repair or retrofit setting. This role requires precision, safety awareness, and the ability to interpret blueprints and technical drawings.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Perform MIG, TIG, and Stick welding on steel, stainless steel, and aluminum structures.

    Repair and reinforce damaged or worn structural components.

    Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and welding symbols.

    Operate cutting torches, grinders, and other metal fabrication tools.

    Inspect welds for accuracy and structural integrity.

    Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work area.

    Collaborate with mechanics, fabricators, and supervisors to complete repair projects.

    Maintain welding equipment and report any malfunctions.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    Qualifications:

    High school diploma or GED; technical training or welding certification preferred.

    2+ years of structural welding experience, preferably in a repair shop or industrial setting.

    Proficient in various welding techniques (MIG, TIG, Stick).

    Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and welding symbols.

    Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

    Physical ability to lift heavy materials and work in various positions (standing, kneeling, overhead).

    Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and shop safety practices.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fredericksburg, VA.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
