    Job Title: Mechanical Assembler

     

    Pay: $24 - $27/hr

     

    Shift: 1st shift - 7:00am - 3:30pm, Monday - Friday

    Job Description

    We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Assembler with the ability to read and understand schematics, instructions, and diagrams. This role requires mechanical aptitude, previous mechanical assembly experience, and trouble-shooting knowledge. You will be responsible for ensuring that equipment is maintained in optimal condition and for assembling various mechanical components.

    Responsibilities

    + Read blueprints and drawings, and take or read measurements to plan layout and procedures.

    + Maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety.

    + Connect auxiliary, mechanical, electrical, electronic, pneumatic, or hydraulic equipment.

    + Drill, tap, or ream holes using a drill press or portable drill.

    + Align components, and bolt, screw, or rivet them together using hand tools or portable powered tools.

    + Install moving parts, such as shafts, levers, or bearings, and work them to test free movement.

    + Align and mesh gears in gearboxes to assemble systems of gears.

    + Operate drill presses and punch presses to assist in assembly operations.

    + Provide assistance to other company staff in the completion of their daily duties when required.

    + Respond to emergency situations.

    + Maintain work area in a neat, clean, and organized condition.

    + Observe all safety regulations and practices.

    + Contribute to Continuous Improvement.

    Essential Skills

    + Ability to read and work from drawings, schematics, and verbal instructions.

    + Mechanical assembly experience.

    + Proficiency in using hand tools and portable powered tools.

    + Experience with mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.

    + High School Diploma or GED.

    Work Environment

     

    The work environment involves making observations, reading and writing, and communicating with others. You will be operating industrial equipment and may need to sit, stand, or crouch for extended periods.     This is a Contract position based out of Pembroke, MA.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $26.00/hr.
