Job Title: Brake Operator

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Brake Operator to join our team. This role involves operating brake press machines, interpreting blueprints, and ensuring quality checks. Candidates with experience in heavy industrial machinery are also encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

+ Operate brake press machines and heavy industrial machinery.

+ Read and interpret blueprints accurately.

+ Use tape measures to precise specifications (1/16th of an inch during interviews and 1/32nd of an inch on the floor).

+ Read micrometers and calipers.

+ Operate sit-down forklifts and overhead cranes for material handling.

+ Perform lock out/tag out procedures.

+ Conduct quality checks to ensure product standards.

+ Input information accurately into computers.

Essential Skills

+ 2 years of experience with brake press or heavy industrial machines.

+ High School diploma or equivalent.

+ Proficiency in reading blueprints and tape measures.

+ Experience with micrometers, calipers, and quality checks.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Forklift operation experience.

+ Overhead crane operation.

+ Experience in a manufacturing environment.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hobart, IN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $22.00/hr.
