•️ Lead Machinist – 2nd Shift

**Location:** Hutchinson, MN

**Schedule:** 2nd Shift - 2pm-Midnight Monday-Thursday

• What You’ll Do

As our Lead Machinist, you’ll be the go-to expert for all things CNC during the 2nd shift. You’ll lead by example—setting up, operating, and optimizing CNC mills and lathes while mentoring machinists and apprentices. You’ll ensure every part meets spec, every job hits deadline, and every teammate grows under your guidance.

+ Supervise and coordinate CNC machinists on 2nd shift

+ Set up and operate CNC mills and lathes to produce precision components

+ Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD/CAM files

+ Monitor production schedules and ensure timely, high-quality output

+ Train, mentor, and evaluate machinists and apprentices

+ Troubleshoot machining issues and implement solutions

+ Enforce safety protocols and best practices

+ Collaborate with engineering, quality, and maintenance teams

+ Maintain accurate documentation of setups, tooling, and procedures

• What You Bring

+ 5+ years of CNC machining experience, including 2+ years in a leadership role

+ Proficiency in G-code programming and CNC controls (Fanuc, Haas, Siemens)

+ Deep understanding of GD&T, tooling, and machining principles

+ Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills

+ Ability to read and interpret complex technical drawings

+ Bonus: Experience with Haas/Phonak mills and lathe operations

The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $70720.00/yr.
