Job Title: Welder/Fitter ***Night Shift***
Job Description
Join a dynamic team specializing in the manufacture of custom-engineered electrical gear for the energy, industrial, and critical infrastructure sectors. We are seeking skilled welders and fitters to fabricate metal skids for electrical control panels and power distribution systems. Your expertise will contribute to the production of essential components that support critical infrastructure.
Responsibilities
+ Fabricate metal skids for electrical cabinets and power distribution systems.
+ Read blueprints and take measurements for fit-ups of structural steel channels.
+ Perform Flux Core welding (and occasionally MIG) in 2G and 3G positions.
+ Weld on carbon steel and work independently to fit and weld workpieces.
Essential Skills
+ 5+ years of experience in structural welding or structural fitting.
+ Proficiency in Flux Core welding and experience with skids.
+ Ability to read blueprints and use measuring tape.
+ Experience in 3G welding, fitting, and fabrication.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Familiarity with MIG welding and 4G welding.
+ Experience with extensive welding and fitting of 11 gauge and 14 gauge sheet metal.
+ Knowledge of gas metal arc welding (GMAW), Flux Core Arc Welding, and stainless steel welding.

Work Environment
Work in a medium-sized, clean, and organized shop that operates at a fast pace. While not climate-controlled, the facility features open bay doors and plenty of fans. Join a night shift team working Monday to Friday from 6:00 pm to 6:00 am, typically 11 hours per day, 5-6 days a week. Safety gear includes steel-toed boots, jeans, work shirts, and safety glasses. This site is adjacent to a machine shop with machine operators, fabricators, quality control personnel, and material handlers.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Pasadena, TX.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $28.00/hr.
