    Job Title: CMM Programmer

    Job Description

    We are seeking a skilled CMM Programmer and Quality Inspector to join a rapidly growing machine shop specializing in aerospace and semiconductor segments. With our sales doubling over the past three years and an anticipated 25% increase within the next 18 months, we are on a growth trajectory. The role involves using CMM and Keyence machines for first article and quality inspections, reporting to the Lead CMM Programmer, and performing both hands-off quality work in the office and hands-on quality work in the lab. You will utilize Modus, a DMIS software, for programming tasks.

    Responsibilities

    + Create CMM programs from solid models and/or engineering drawings, requiring interface with CNC machine programmers during development.

    + Provide support to the Quality team for initial execution of CMM programs as needed.

    + Support Plex Control Plan creation and revision, which is the ERP system used for manufacturing.

    + Coordinate and execute First Article Inspection Documentation.

    + Create Production Inspection Documentation.

    + Assist in Process Validations, including collection and compilation of process inspection data for capability indexing.

    + Educate quality team members in proper methods of measurement and verification.

    + Provide support for gage R&R.

    + Develop and maintain procedural requirements as needed to comply with current manufacturing regulations.

    + Act as a liaison for customer-issued SCARs, responding with timely and appropriate corrective actions.

    + Support quality continuous improvements, including new equipment and process enhancements.

    Essential Skills

    + Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a Manufacturing Quality Control environment with a focus on manufacturing.

    + Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline, ASQ certification, or equivalent experience required.

    + Advanced understanding of CMM Software, such as Modus or other DMIS types.

    + Advanced computer skills in software like Excel, Word, Outlook, Inspection Xpert, and Minitab.

    + Ability to communicate professionally in a cross-functional team environment.

    Work Environment

     

    This is a first shift opportunity, Monday through Friday, with a flexible start time between 6-8 AM, working 8 1/2 hours from the start time. The position is located in a manufacturing shop environment, routinely using standard office equipment. The role requires occasional lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds, with minimal travel expected. Enjoy a relaxed work environment with lots of CNC Machines, Laser Machines, Routers, and quality testing equipment. The team comprises 160 employees, with everyone working onsite, including senior leadership and executives

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Leander, TX.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $32.00/hr.
