    Crane Technician

    Job Description

    The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting, repairing, and maintaining overhead cranes and other mechanical lifting devices. Our ideal candidate has a deep understanding of mechanical and electrical systems, is able to troubleshoot problems efficiently, and is committed to maintaining the highest safety standards. Ultimately, the Overhead Crane Technician will ensure that all our lifting devices are in safe, working condition to facilitate smooth and efficient operations.

    Responsibilities

    + Perform routine preventive maintenance checks on overhead cranes and hoists.

    + Diagnose and repair problems in mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.

    + Install new cranes and hoists to specifications.

    + Conduct safety inspections and tests to ensure compliance with regulations and standards.

    + Document all inspections, maintenance, and repair work for record-keeping and future reference.

    + Collaborate with engineers and other professionals on complex projects or issues.

    + Train operators in proper use, safety protocols, and basic troubleshooting.

    + Stay updated about the latest trends and advancements in overhead crane technology.

    Essential Skills

    + Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.

    + Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot problems efficiently.

    + Excellent documentation and record-keeping skills.

    + Strong communication and collaboration skills.

    + Commitment to maintaining high safety standards.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + High school diploma or equivalent; technical school certification preferred.

    + Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience in maintaining, inspecting, servicing, repairing, and modifying cranes.

    + Formal training in mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
