Summary This position is located in the Department of Health & Human Services (HHS), Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), Office of Program Operations and Local Engagement (OPOLE), Strategy and Business Operations (SBO), Division of Business Operations Management (DBOM). As a ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER, GS-0341-13, you will provide leadership, technical authority, and execution of administrative management support services for the CMS Atlanta Regional Office. Responsibilities Provide technical guidance and assistance to employees and management on the full range of administrative functions necessary to the efficient and economical operation of the location. Provide input and recommendations to the Staff Director on issues associated with ongoing operations, including opportunities for training and development, budget and travel, and Continuation of Operations Planning (COOP) activities. Execute and lead procurement activities related to the needs of the OPOLE in areas such as supply management, physical space management and maintenance, and travel. Oversee the implementation of facility and real property management and general services functions. In order to qualify for the GS-13, you must meet the following: You must demonstrate in your resume at least one year (52 weeks) of qualifying specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal government, obtained in either the private or public sector, to include: (1) Evaluating operational or administrative procedures or practices to recommend improvements to achieve organizational goals; (2) Assisting with budget, travel management, and space management for an office; AND (3) Preparing special reports or studies for senior management. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
