Substitute Assistant Coordinator

As a Substitute Child Care Assistant Coordinator, you’ll provide support for regular teachers and coordinators at two family court–based children’s centers. These centers serve children (ages 6 weeks to 12 years) whose caregivers are attending court proceedings.
You’ll help maintain a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment, ensuring that children are cared for and engaged while their families handle court business.
Key Responsibilities
+ Fill in for regular Child Care Coordinators/Teachers as needed at either site
+ Greet and assist families; handle sign-in and sign-out procedures
+ Answer questions and assist with required paperwork
+ Support set-up and cleanup of daily activities
+ Distribute snacks and assist children
+ Maintain a clean, safe, and positive center environment
+ Collaborate professionally with families, staff, and community members
+ Arrive on time and ready to work
+ Promote inclusion and belonging in the classroom
Requirements
+ High school diploma (required)
+ Experience working with children and families
+ Strong communication and customer service skills
+ Professional demeanor
+ Clean and valid NYS driver’s license preferred but not required
+ Reliable transportation preferred but not required
